Kathmandu & Nunthala
After a welcome dinner at one of Kathmandu's finest
Nepali restaurants and a guided City Tour, take a
high altitude drive to Nunthala. Trek to the Everest
region on a winding mountain trail.
Nunthala to Namche Bazaar
Follow the traditional mountaineering route to
Everest, with its rolling hills, broad valleys, solid
stone houses and active Buddhist monasteries.
Join the main trail to Namche Bazaar. And
acclimatize in the Sherpa heartland. Marvel at the
stunning views of Everest, Sagarmatha, the Mother
of Mountains.
Kalapathar & Pheriche
Cross remote river valleys and ridges, high passes and move on to Kalapathar, overlooking Everest Base Camp. Nothing compares with the thrill of "standing on top of the world", seeing the Khumbu Glacier, Everest and the entire Khumbu range, close up. Well acclimatised, move on to Pheriche.
Island Peak and Success!
Trek to Dingboche Valley, change from lodges to tents and head on to Island Peak Base Camp. After a nights rest in Advance Base Camp, it is on to the summit! The climax is a short but steep ascent to the knife-edge summit ridge and unsurpassed views on all sides. The descent through colourful Sherpa heartland. Marvel at the stunning views of
Everest- "Sagarmatha", the Mother of Mountains. Trek up through herding settlements to another high on Gokyo Ri, above the beautiful Gokyo Lakes. villages will give you a chance to visit ancient monasteries and traditional Sherpa homes in the worlds highest permanent human settlements, before a scenic flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla. There is plenty of free time for city adventures as well.
